“Toolkits of National Human Rights Institutions in the fight against discrimination and in promoting the rights of vulnerable groups”

The third and concluding panel discussion, held to mark International Human Rights Day, was titled “Toolkits of National Human Rights Institutions in the fight against discrimination and in promoting the rights of vulnerable groups”.

The panel brought together Ms. Siranush Sahakyan, Head of the “Centre for International and Comparative Law” NGO, Ms. Zhanna Hakobyan, Director of the Centre for Research, Expertise, and Education of the Human Rights Defender’s Office, Mr. Valentin Roșca, Deputy Ombudsman of Moldova and Ms. Alyson Kilpatrick, Chief Commissioner of the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission (online).

The session was moderated by Mr. Konstantin Sokolsky, UNDP Deputy Permanent Representative.

The conference was organized by the Human Rights Defender’s Office within the framework of the European Union funded “ATHENA: Advancing the Human Rights Agenda and Enhancing National Authorities” project, implemented in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations Children’s Fund, and the United Nations Population Fund.
